Snow, Snow Everywhere
Wednesday afternoon as I was doing a shoot in Dallas, I thought how great it was to live in Texas in the winter. It was a balmy 82 as I photographed Motorola two-way radios being used in various situations for my clients website. I love warm weather.
Thursday as I was driving to Kansas, I watched the temperature drop from 80, to 70, to 60 to 50 and so on till it finally settled in the 30’s. And so it stayed well in the 20’s and 30’s, till this fine Saturday morning. As I awoke at 5 am, I found the parking lot of my hotel covered with white stuff, and the temperature well in the low teens.
Being the dedicated photographer that I am, and not having seen snow for awhile, I decided to take a short drive around Topeka to check out the virgin snow. Having grown up here in Topeka, I migrated to a few area’s I thought might be interesting. Here are a few shots from the Kansas Governor’s Mansion, the old Menninger Foundation and a car in the parking lot at the Kansas Corporation Commission.

Makes me chill just looking at these images.
