Stock photo agency, The Photolibrary Group, has been acquired by Getty Images as of June 1st. The announcement came in an email to all Photolibrary Group contributors.
According to a statement issued by Getty’s Vice President of Creative Imagery, Andrew Saunders, ” Combining both companies’ imagery collections will provide customers around the world with greater choice and more easily accessible imagery. We are pleased and excited to begin working with you and we know you have many questions.”
“In the coming weeks as Photolibrary content transitions to Getty Images technology, you will see enhancements in workflow, search, licensing expertise, business processes, customer exposure, content and services. We look forward to beginning to work with you and we appreciate your patience during this transition.”
Photolibrary’s stock photography brand include: Oxford Scientific, Garden Picture Library, Fresh Food Images, Monsoon Images, Index Stock, 81A and Peter Arnold.
