
New photography is always the key essential for corporate publications, marketing collateral and press releases. The use of stock handout photos shot with perfect lighting in situations that are unreal is not the current trend in effective photo marketing. Photos of real people using a companies product in real situations is the most effective way to communicate your company’s story to a buyer, your employees or news outlets.
BearCom, a Dallas, Tx based company, is a prime example of how to effectively use photography. BearCom is America’s only nationwide wireless equipment dealer and integrator; offering sales, rentals and service. They are also the world’s largest reseller of Motorola radio’s and a significant reseller of Sprint equipment, among others, and have clients worldwide.
Some recent assignments that have been shot of real people using wireless equipment on the job have been for security at a performance car show, the Heart Hospital of Austin and a major electronic retailer. Over the next few weeks I will update some of BearCom’s successful measures for photo usage.
