Breaking News…..Alex Has Been Accepted to Mitchell College!
There is something to be said about spring in the Northeast; on any given day the sun can warm the last cold chills from the body or the cold north wind can bring one last unwanted chill.
My son Alex and I had more days of the former than the later on a recent trip to New York and New London, CT. After arriving in New York on a beautiful spring day, we headed to New London to check out Mitchell College, a institution of higher learning that excels in helping students with learning disabilities succeed.

Upon arrival in the northern Connecticut we took advantage of the wonderful weather to take time to play tourist in the coastal city of Mystic, famous for the movie Mystic Pizza.
The following day in New London we toured the college, learned its philosophy on student success and met the staff. The college was impressive an institution of approximately 1000 students located on the bay – with it own beach for student use.
The short visit was capped off by a wonderful ferry ride to Long Island, then back into NYC for shopping, dining and a great time on Broadway with the musical The Jersey Boys, about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
