New Photography Major Essential for Your Story

New photography is always the key essential for corporate publications, marketing collateral and press releases. The use of stock handout photos shot with perfect lighting in situations that are unreal is not the current trend in effective photo marketing. Photos of real people using a companies product in real situations is the most effective way to communicate your company’s story to a buyer, your employees or news outlets.

BearCom, a Dallas, Tx based company, is a prime example of how to effectively use photography. BearCom is America’s only nationwide wireless equipment dealer and integrator; offering sales, rentals and service. They are also the world’s largest reseller of Motorola radio’s and a significant reseller of Sprint equipment, among others, and have clients worldwide.

Some recent assignments that have been shot of real people using wireless equipment on the job have been for security at a performance car show, the Heart Hospital of Austin and a major electronic retailer. Over the next few weeks I will update some of BearCom’s successful measures for photo usage.

Being Creative With Photography Dollars

tww_magazine_cover With the economy heading further south every day, budgets for new corporate photography projects in communications, marketing and advertising are being sliced.  One of my clients has found a creative way to maximize the use of their photography budget.

BearCom, a Dallas, Tx based company, is America’s only nationwide wireless equipment dealer and integrator; offering sales, rental and service.  They are one of the largest resellers of Motorola  and Sprint equipment, among others, and have clients worldwide. 

One of their unique marketing tools is the publication Today’s Wireless World.  A four-color magazine that features customer profiles, latest equipment updates and wireless sector information.

New photography is a key for this publication and marketing collateral produced at a later date. BearCom services clients  in oil & gas, education, military, warehousing, retail and other such industries.  Supplier provided photography is not always readily available for all the industries served by BearCom.  

To maximize the photo budget, Today’s Wireless World is usually shot in two days at one location.  Pre-planning is the key essential in making this work.   Shooting a wide variety of products sold by BearCom at the same location and at the same time, creates instant art work for later marketing tools and makes the process even more cost effective.
